What To Expect From Your Portrait Session

Portraits are shot in our studio and/or on location. When shooting in the studio, we use black and white backdrops and very few props. If you have a special doll, stuffed animal, hat, or other props that you would like to have in the photographs, please feel free to bring them. For babies, we have a small variety of other background colors. We believe in shooting pictures that will capture the subject's true beauty and personality with minimum distraction. If you have specific ideas for how you would like your portraits to look, please feel free to mention them.

When you arrive, please be dresssed and ready with your makeup and hair done. Though we have space to do these things, it will cut into your portrait time. You are more than welcome to bring a few changes of clothes, however, with small children, we recommend bringing no more than two changes of clothing as they often grow tired of changing and may be less cooperative with the entire session. Minor blesmishes can be touched up in post processing, but will only be done if specifically requested. Please allow up to two weeks for photos to be ready. Rushes can be placed but may result in a higher fee. Once portraits are completed, they will be available for viewing in an online photo gallery as well as whatever other options you choose (DVD and/or prints).

A 50% deposit due at the time of booking and 50% is due at the time of the session. Deposit may not be refundable if session is cancelled with less than 48 hours notice. If given more than 48 hours notice, deposit may be transferred to another date or refunded.

What To Expect From Your Wedding or Event Photography

When photographing a wedding or other event, I try to capture a little bit of everything that is happening as a way of recording the day for the client. If there are specific shots that you would like, please specify them. It is also normal to do a variety of formal and family portraits. When deciding upon a photographer for your wedding, you should shop around and find the photographer who best matches your needs and with whom you feel comfortable working with.
